Hi.. Welcome to HCM.. In retinal detachment surgeries the prognosis is always guarded.. The prognosis also depends on the reason for which the surgery was done and the time of surgery too.. We need to know where exactly is the swelling, where from it is coming and is this the cause for the retinal detachment.. Cataract can develop after the retina surgery.. Cataract surgery helps little in your case. My advice is keep consulting one retina specialist of your choice who knows your history and your response to treatment..
