Suggest Treatment For Scorpion Bite

I was stung by a small scorpion in the Philippines (near Puerto Galera). The scorpion stung me on the underside ball of my foot. The area has swelled and the skin has turned a light purple color. The scorpion was approximately 1 inch long and semi-transparent. The incident occurred 3 days ago. What should I do as a medical follow-up?

hello there,
Scorpion stings are managed well with a local application of a baking soda (NAHCO3) paste to neautralise the acid in its venom.
You can have tab cetrizine once a day for 3 days and also take Crocin 500 m.g twice a day after food for 3 days to manage the pain and tingling.
Sometimes the scorpion's stinger may get embedded in your skin. In such cases you may need to visit a doctor and get it removed. The way to tell if its embedded is if you have no relief of symptoms even after applying the soda paste and taking the drugs.

Hope this helps,
please feel free to address any further queries to me, I would gladly answer them
