Suggest Treatment For Red , Swollen And Painful Eyes

PLEASE HELP. I have had this occur about 5 times in the past 4 years now, and I do not know what it is. It usually clears up within a few days but this time, it has been going on for about a week and there is no sign of it going away. As a matter of fact, it is getting worse. My eyelids (top and under my eye as well) are swollen, itchy, painful, red, and scaly. It looks as though I got punched in the eye. This type of skin irritation is also occurring on the areas around the corners of my mouth. It is not going away despite me taking a steroid (Z Pac) and a topical cream (Erythromycin). I don t know what to do anymore. It is not only painful but extremely embarrassing. Especially because I am an 18 year old high school senior. I know it is not allergies. What could this be? How can I treat it? Please, Please, Please let me know. I would appreciate it so much! Thanks, Amber

This as it is not painful and with a lot of irritation it is likely to be allergic. what you need to do is steroid eye ointment and steroid drops and oral anti allergic tablets and you will be fine

it can be iridocyclitis an autoimune disorder. ciliary congestion and presence of flare tobe confirmed by slit lamp examination. if so it is to be treated by steroid eye drop, with tappering.
