Suggest Treatment For Pimples On Tongue

The top of my mouth is usually slimmy and I generally have like a pimple on the tip of my tongue. I've been told you can have surgery to remove the bump. Is this a good thing? Also the roof of my mouth is usually slimmy also. I have been using Oragel which helps a little bit. What would your recommendation be?
