Suggest Treatment For Pain And Burning Sensation While Urinating

I am having moderately painful (burning) urination. That does not worry me so much; however, I am passing a large volume of blood clots (15-20 per urination, at least 3-4 mm in size some much longer), and when I wipe the is all blood on the paper, no urine or yellow coloring. I am diabetic and missed my weekly shot last week, but my current sugar is 123 mg/dcL. My back is not painful and I don t think I have a fever. My friend was concerned that this might be something I had not thought of.

Dr. Hanif warmly welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic HCM. I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I want to assure, I will take care all of your medical concerns.

You have not given the age, gender and your menstrual status or menopause if you are a female. However I am here to help you anyway.

You seem to have a Urinary tract infection and need prompt treatment.
If I was your treating Physician I would have prescribed you with Nitrofurantoin oral if not allergic to and of course a follow up after a week. Plus take Cranberry juice (sugar-free), which is good for helping to treat the symptoms you have.

Take plenty of water that will help flush the urinary system. Also go for the following tests:
CBC with ESR and Differentials.
Urine complete analysis and culture and sensitivity.
Kidney function tests.

Keep a good control of your blood sugar levels. Uncontrolled diabetes is the major reasons of such infections.
