Suggest Treatment For Lower Abdominal Pain And Painful Urination

Hi there, ive been having mild, i wouldnt even say moderate, dull pain in my lower abdomen and back. I also have been experiencing weird vaginal discharge and a need to urinate more often. I thought i may have had cystitus so i took a course of the sachets from the chemist, however the occassional burning and need to urinate is still there. Do you think i may have a UTI? I worry a lot and hope its nothing more serious. Thanks. Samantha.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a urinary tract infection.

I suggest to do a urine test to confirm the diagnosis.

Meanwhile, I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the symptoms.

If the diagnosis is confirmed I suggest to use a cycle of antibiotics which are prescribed.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
