Suggest Treatment For Light Sensitivity In Eyes

My child was diagnosed with pink eye and cellulitis in the face on August 17th and prescribed Bactrim and Ofloxacin eye drops. After no improvement, we returned to the Doctor on Wednesday, August 20th and her eyes were swabbed for testing. The eye drops were changed to Tobramycin. The culture results came back today with a minor staff infection and 3 more days of Bactrim was prescribed. Her eyes have been extremely sensitive to light (natural and artificial) since yesterday. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Ophthalmologist Dr. Dadapeer K's  Response
Hello
Welcome to health care magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that your child is having conjunctivitis and presence of sensitivity to light indicates severe infection involving the cornea in the form of keratoconjunctivitis.
This requires treatment by the use of antibiotics and antiinflammatory drugs.
The treatment should be under supervision of a ophthalmologist and this may take 3-4 weeks for relief.
However it is curable, hence no need to be worried.

Thank you
