Suggest Treatment For Insomnia

Hello.
For years i have been down, i find it hard to sleep but strange enough hard to be awake aswell.
I have wonder if i should go somewhere to talk, but i cant.
I can not explain to myself why it is like this or why I have all this hatred and senseless/meaningless thoughts.

thanks for using helathcaremagic.

Insomnia are of two types.
Primary: without any other physical or psychiatric problem.
Secondary: due to any physical or psychiatric problem and for the treatment basic problem should be treated.

You have problem of initiation in sleep and getting out of it.This suggest there is some disturbance in your sleep pattern. Sleep has 4 stages and they take specific part of each sleep cycle.Your sleep latency is high.So main problem is to get in to sleep.
Difficulty in waking may be due to late onset of sleep.
You need sleep EEG for evaluation and then treatment can be decided.
So consult your doctor without hesitation.

For immediate help, you can try a cup of warm milk before 15 minutes to sleep which help in many patients of mine.
And you can find out on net about some measures to be followed for good sleep called, "Sleep Hygiene".
