Suggest Treatment For Injury In The Eye Caused By Poking

my wife got her eye poked by my son yesterday .the eye turned red and she has lot of pain opening and closing her eye.It's the second day today and though the foreign body sensation which she had is no longer there the redness persists and she has a lot of pain in the upper eyelid .the GP recommended mycin 4 times a day which she is putting.I hope the eye will heal and she does not have any vision loss and what does one do for thempain around the eye.

get her checked by eye doctor, toasses corneal injury. itis to be seen whether the injury is inconjuctiva or cornea. apply ofloxacin.3%drop 8hourly. apply neosporine eye ointment at bedtime.
