I had a high fever, headache, malaise end January that lasted through mid-february, spent a week in hospital where they diagnosed typhus, temperature went down while i was in hospital, but returned after i was discharged. I saw another physician who told me it was not typhus, but a staph infection. I continued to have daily low grade fever of 99/99.5 every day till mid June. The physician said blood tests showed the infection had cleared up and the continuing fever was just overactive cytokines and there was nothing to do about it but wait for it to pass. I've been fine since end June, but end sept got an ear infection which cleared up in 10 days, though no fever with it. Suddenly yesterday I woke up feeling feverish (99) and same today. What is wrong with me?
