Hi All, Need some major help. I just delievered my Baby boy on Dec2 and ever since past 4 weeks i have had 3 painful huge styes in 1 eye. Its been miserble and unbearable and i had no choice to eat painkillers and then ultimately the eye surgeon had to put me on an antibiotice(500mg, 3 times a day) for 5 days.
I am soooo darn scared that it shall reoccur. Could you please let me know any remedy?? Whats the cause for it. When will this reoccurance go.Do i need to stop eating any specific intake of food like oily stuff, do i need to have cooling food etc. Appreciate fast response. Thanks
Hello It seems from the history that you had multiple stye involving the eyelids. Stye is inflammatory lesion involving the gland of the eye lids and is caused by infection. The treatment is by use of antibiotics as you have taken. No need to worry as not all stye reoccur. The causes for recurrences are exposure to dust, frequent running if eyes, increased intake of fatty foods, decreased immunity, stress... Hence I advice you to avoid any of the above mentioned risk factors if present.
Thank you
