Hi..
Welcome to HCM..
Thanks for the query..
Does he have any itching any discharge form the eye?
It could be conjunctivits bacterial or viral depends upon type of discharge and severity of symptoms..
You can use tobramycin or moxifloxacin eye drops..
Visine doesn't help much in case of infective conjunctivitis..
You can use any other lubricating eye drops..
He should be told not to rub eyes..
Clean the discharge with a wipe..
Maintain proper hygiene of eyes..
Hope this information is helpful to you..Take care..
