Suggest Treatment For Confusion And Anxiety In An Elderly Person
My aunt has dementia and the doctors prescribed Klonopin for her anxiety a few days ago. Was in the hospital for severe constipation. Now she is violent, more confused and has more anxiety. She is 86. Has this mediation made her dementia worse and what is a better medication to help her?

Looking at her age, the symptoms of dementia is age related and what the medicine are given has got the minimal role. But this does worsen dementia. In such cases, if you are having functional factor along with dementia prognosis is poor, intensive psychiatric care may some time gives little satisfactory result.
