Hello, I was cleaning my very small, unventillated bathroom this past Thursday, Sept.7th. I applied spray bleach cleaner to the tub walls and was scrubbing the tub with cleanser (with bleach). I never gave it a thought, when I shut the door, only leaving it cracked so my animals wouldn t get in! Believe me, I know better than to confine myself while cleaning like that!! However, I don t know where my head was that day!! It started with my eyes burning; all I did was rinse my hands and wipe my eyes! My mind, still completely focused on something else.. I still didn t stop cleaning! Until my eyes and nose were burning badly. Finally, I came to my srnses; I was getting up to get out of there, but wanted to quick rinse my hands... I turned on the Hot water!!! I couldn t breathe! I couldn t get a breath IN!! According to my 15 yr old daughter; who was freaking out..said my face was really red and that I was sweating profusely! I still couldn t breathe; I went outside..Nothing!! I was in a complete panic, which did not help my symptoms! My neighbor took me to the ER. I think they took me right back..my memory is a little fuzzy here. Anyway, the short and the long if it was that what I did was really stupid..Really? That I put my lungs into spasm; it took 3 nebulizer treatments and an IV shot of steroids, to bring my oxygen level back up. The question I have here is.. I lost my voice between my house and the hospital. It s still very raspy! Its not getting better!! Second.. For the past few days I ve felt horrible! I m exhausted, coughing all the time and feel like I have the flu! If I m not running a fever, I am very flush. I was only in my bathroom about 5 mins. and I feel like this? Of course, my PCP is out of town.Should I go back to the ER? What would you suggest? And what are your thoughts regarding my voice? Thank you so much!!
