Suggest Treatment For Anorexia, loss Of Weight And Low Heart Rate

My girlfriend has been fighting anorexia. She went to an inpatient and finished the program. But now she is starting to get back to where she was. She is losing lots of weight, her heart rate is abnormally low and she told me now that she is giving up on life. She says she hates who she is and just wants to die. She also says that she won t go get help for this either. Is there anything that i can do to help her?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Oh yes you can. first and foremost ask her about if she has planned any idea about suicide. If yes, take her immediately to mental health facility/psychiatrist to your area. She is absolutely suffering from severe depression. Medicines can surly help in that. It's an emergency from psychiatry point of view. Rather than waiting, convince her to consult psychiatrist. And if you find that she is not ready, inform her family members. If she is not ready to take treatment she can be forcefully taken for treatment, as per laws prevalent in your country to save her life.
