Suggest Remedy For The Infection Due To Insect Bite

On 2/10/14 I started taking doxycycl hycl 100mg (twice a day for 10 days), due to a don't know which insect bit the back of my right leg close to the knee joint. The red infection was about 2" x 3" over the bite itself. It slowly started to go away, but last night the itching came back & I didn't look at it. This morning the infection is back half size. Very worried, suggestion please.

As per your complain it seems like you have an infection in the insect bite site leading to itching and swelling and you need to consult a Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis..
In case if there is recurring infection there is a possibility that the previous infection has not cured completely and causing recurrence..
You will be advised another course of antibiotics oral as well as injectable for faster resolution of infection, painkillers like Ibuprofen and clean the wound with antiseptic liquid and apply triple antibiotic ointment..
In case if there is pus formation incision and drainage can be done..
