Suggest Remedy For Painful Foot Cramps In Elderly Females

My sole of my left foot cramps as many as 40 time a day. The pain is so severe it takes my breath away. I am a 52 year old female at 192 lbs and dropping gradually. No smoking. No drinking. Light exercise daily. Full health panel 3 months ago and all was well.

Hello,
Here are some things to try. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and very little of liquids that may cause some dehydration like coffee, tea or alcohol. Next take a multivitamin/multimineral supplement daily. It is also important to stretch the muscles several times a day, especially upon awakening and before sleep. Stretch out the muscles that cramp and hold the stretches for 1-2 minutes with each stretch. Quick stretches do not help much.
