Suggest Remedy For Neck Pain Radiating To The Shoulder?

Hello,

Two days ago, I had a friend give me a huge unexpected hug that twisted my neck in an awkward direction. Yesterday, I began to suffer from neck pain underneath where my jaw line ends. Today it is much worse and has spread to the back of my neck and right shoulder area. The source of the pain is coming directly from where a lymph node would be on the right side of my neck and if I turn my head to the left, I can feel a very small, painful lump under the surface. I am confused as to if this is just a pulled neck muscle that needs some TLC or if I should see a doctor for a possible infected lymph node or infection??
