Suggest Remedy For Migraine With Swollen Bump On Forehead

My mother (around 40 years old) sometimes gets migraines but the one she has tonight is accompanied by a small swollen bump on her forehead. She is also having nausea, light and sound sensitivity, and lack of appetite. She says that this is normal for a migraine and has gone to sleep (without dinner). In my opinion she should have gone to the emergency room. So are these normal symptoms of a migraine headache or should she be woken up and made to go to the ER?
