Hello. I have question regarding my metabolism. I have trouble gaining weight. my weight fluctuate very much. Like 1-4lbs within 3 days or so. I can eat anything (fatty food) and do not gain weight. However, I have been doing few minutes cardio (warm up) and an hour to 70 minutes of weight lifting (with rest periods). According to daily recommended protein intake for weight gain, I tried adding protein powder to my diet. But for some reason I am not able to digest that. I mean, I have to run to rest room within an hour or so after drinking that protein shake. Dont know what is the issue? I have tried adding more food rich in protein, but results its tough to fill the required amount. What would you recommend? What could be wrong with my GIT? I have tried different brands (no help) I drink adequate water too. I eat pretty healthy though.
Dear friend, Greetings from HCM... i understand your problems ... but i did not understand why you want to take protein powders / supplements for gaining your weigh !! yu might be allergic to the preservatives used in them .... you need not be in hurry to gain weight ... it can bring only problems for you ... we need to adopt good healthy dietary habits and lifestyle slowly and do in continuously ... you can always go for natural sources of high class proteins like milk, egg, meat, fish, sprouted grains , and along with that green leafy vegetables and fruits to take care of your health... you need to take good nutritious food to be healthy not suupplements ,, thank you do take care
