Hello,

Since scans are normal then it seems you have a primary headache like a migraine or a tension-type headache. It is difficult to differentiate the exact type as you give no prescription of a headache (location, duration, character, accompanying phenomena, other conditions, your age, etc).

However, given the frequency of headaches, one thing is clear, that you need preventive medication. Grandpa powder is fine occasionally to alleviate a headache, but not suitable for regular long term treatment and it can damage your stomach causing ulcers. It has no relation to the veins you describe though, not the cause.

Amitriptyline might be a good choice preventive medication, but there are other classes as well, as I said without more info it is difficult to precisely classify the primary headache type and the most suitable medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olsi Taka,
