Suggest Medication For Redness And Swelling Of Sclera Due To Injury

Hello. Monday morning I accidentally scratched my schlera on a piece of plastic fencing. years ago I had a chemical burn to a cornea and that hurt horribly! and I did get medical attention. This doesnt hurt so much, but the plastic did go under the eyelid and both the eyelid and that area of the schlera is slightly swollen and the schlera is very red/bloody looking in that area and a bit beyond today. but it actually doesnt hurt very much, and I am not seeing any oozing to suggest infection. My insurance doesnt cover eye injuries and I dont even make $12/hr so money is very tight. I am thinking of waiting another day to see if the swelling and redness begin to subside. Would signs of infection include pain and heat and oozing as I think it would? It is not really near the cornea. and I just dont have the money for antibiotics and a doctors visit. It feels very good if I put a warm compress on it. But mostly I am just letting it be and waiting to see if will start to look better.
