Suggest Medication For Popped Chalazion Causing Bleeding

My 2.5 year old daughter has had a chalazion for a couple of months now. The opthamologist told us to keep giving her warm compresses. Tonight during her bath, the chalazion popped and there was a lot of blood. It even looks like a very thin layer of skin peeled down with about 1/3 of an inch of exposed, bleeding skin. We have put petroleum jelly and gauze on the eye and she seems to be doing better. I plan on taking her to the doctor first thing tomorrow morning. Do you think it requires an ER visit tonight?

Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that your daughter is having popped chalazion. No need to worry this will resolve. You need to apply warm compression and antibiotic eye ointment.
Use of analgesic drugs will provide symptomatic relief.
You need to consult your ophthalmologist for incision and curettage.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination treatment accordingly.

Hope this information is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
