Suggest Medication For Pain On The Right Side Of The Groin

Hello I a 75 year old female. I have,Sharp groin pain. I have had this before and found a few excercises helped. The pain is on the right side. I know if I cross my leg over my to left thigh my range of motion is much less than when I place my left leg over my right thigh and press down at my knee. I have always worked out but my excercises are not helping so much.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Pain in the groin could have been caused due to ligament sprain in the groin region. You need to take medication containing analgesic with muscle relaxant after food to overcome the pain. However, considering your age, it would be ideal for you to get examined by an Orthopedician for proper evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran.S.
