I am 26 years old. I have a very severe headache that is constant, my throat is a little sore and I don't have a persistent cough but I have been gagging and hacking up phlegm and it has spots of blood in it. My hands are tingling and my feet are numb

Hi, thanks for asking form HCM.

I can understand your concern. You are suffering from Upper respiratory tract infection (Sore throat with bronchitis). Your headache, weakness, malaise are due to it. Headache occurs due to edema (swelling) of nasal/oral/pharyngeal tissue which leads to blockade of air sinus opening and pain.

You can treat it by
:Steam inhalation 4-6 times daily
:Warm saline gargles 4-6 times daily
: Eat/drink warm/hot food like coffee, tea, soup, ginger tea.
: You should take cough syrup like Bromohexidine to break thick sputum.
: Take combination of Paracetamol-Xylometazoline-Cetrizine to treat pain and congestion after proper prescription
: Take antibiotic therapy like Co-amoxyclav therapy after proper prescription.
: Still no relief, consult doctor.
: Adequate bed rest
: You should take multivitamin also to increase immunity. You can take vitamin B complex with C.

Hope it will help you. Thanks. Take care
