Should I Continue Using Gatilox, FML Liquifilm And Refresh Tears For Bloodshot Eyes?

I recently recovered from a strong viral infection / sinus whereby I was running temperature for about a week and had thick, smelly and bitter mucus discharge down my throat. I took levobact and alrite dc as advised by my physician and was okay within a couple of weeks.

However, now I have an eye infection in my left eye. My eye is bloodshot (really) and waters a lot. There is no pus or white discharge or any stickiness, except when I wake up my eyelids stick together.

I have been washing my eye with warm salt water and using Gatilox, FML Liquifilm nd of course Refresh tears four times a day, one drop in the left eye every time for the last 2 days and now the infection seems to have subsided a bit.

Should I continue using these, because I read elsewhere that FML should not be used when you have had a viral infection. Please advise.

Hello
It seems from the history that you had a episode of sinus infection following which you had a eye infection. For eye infection you are using gatilox, FML and refresh tears eye drops.
FML is a steroid eye drop and it should not be used in corneal ulcers because of the risk of secondary bacterial infection. Hence FML eye drops should be used under cover of antibiotics and under supervision of your eye doctor.

Hence consult your eye doctor for advice regarding use of FML eye drops.

Thank you
