Is It Fine To Delay Treatment For Blood In Urine?

last exam with dr. husband was told he had red blood cells in urine; for 5 days it has been getting progressively darker and today it is VERY DARK... he is having back surgery this Friday the 15th but his primary care physician wants to refer him to urologist when surgery is done.... should we wait is my question... ty

As per my clinical experience, the severely dark urine indicate definite underlying issue with urinary infection or others.

I would recommend to get immediate treatment of the same rather than delay as it will affect his surgery on Friday.
