Is It Advisable To Take Human Growth Hormone At The Age Of 21?

I wonder if my son can take human growth hormone, he is 21 years old now. When he was 11, the lab results gave a deficiency of IGF 1 but his doctor said HGH therapy had some side effects like cancer. He is 5 4 feet and I see he is so shy around girls, no girlfriend yet.

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

No shyness has no relation with human growth hormone. It is basic nature. If he has no girlfriend yet it does not means that he need human growth hormone. Moreover it is not a routine drug like pain killer that you can take any time without consultation.

So according to me it is not advisable to take human growth hormone. If he has any growth retardation then consult endocrinologist and take treatment accordingly.
