HI, this is about my wife. She is 72 and has had Crohns for over 20 years, Colitis for 50 years, Fatty Liver, Peripheral Arterial Disease, Diabetes Type 2 and has endured 7 angioplasty procedures with 8 or 9 stent placements with one breaking after recovery. In addition, she had an artery nicked during one of the procedures and had to be given 2 units of blood. She is currently anemic at an 8.6 blood count. We were both told last year that we had carotid artery blockages, hers was supposed to be 100% & on one side and 50% on the other results of CTA scans done in Nov. of 2017. We were referred to another surgeon recently and they ordered a sonogram (which is confusing as to the results) and the surgeon wants to do the carotid artery surgery. Both she and I do not believe she to be a good candidate for the surgery. She is on Plavix and 81 mg aspirin . Your thoughts, please
