Is HIV Transmission Possible Despite Protected Intercourse?

I had sex with this guy I met online about 2 months ago. We had protected sex and he put the condom on wrong, then he flipped it over and put it on the right way. I noticed about a drop of precum on the tip of the condom before he penetrated me... I'm scared that I may have hiv

Hello,

If the condom was intact, then no need to get worried about transmission. But you have mentioned that there was a drop of precum on a condom and in that case, there is a risk. If he is not in high risk, then no need to get worried.

If you have doubts, then please get your HIV 1/2 DUO test done to rule out the transmission of HIV. The test is considered conclusive at 12 weeks of exposure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Seikhoo Bishnoi
