What Causes Pricking Sensation Below The Ribcage?
I was an alcoholic for 17 years ..I quit since 3 years. ..and started physical activities like jogging gymnasium. Etc I also run marathon.but my right side below the ribbs its like needle pricking sensation..all of sudden it pains then it's subsides. .Please help

It may be due to cholecystitis or cholelithiasis or hepatitis or right renal calculi or pyelonephritis etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Please get the ultrasound abdomen, urine examination and complete blood picture done.
If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
