I have acquired a UTI caused by e. coli, esbl

I have acquired a UTI caused by e. coli, esbl producing. I cant seem to find someone who is willing to treat me. Or is this persistent infection unable to be treated. I had a friend that died eventually when she developed a septisemia as a result of a similar problem. Also, I had a difficult uti five years ago, was treated at the Jax Mayo clinic successfully. I recently had a UTI and was prescribed ke flex until I could see my dr. AT which time he took me off it because I had an e coli uti. But I can t determine what other med he prescribed due to the fact that I was once septic and I have quite a few med bottles. Can you please name at least one or two other medications that would have been conducive to an e coli UTI.

He s been sick for about 8 days. He is now on Cipro.twice a day. How do you get it? What does it do to you and can it affect other areas of the body. Why does he have such a headache.
