I have a small bump on the surface of my tongue near the tip. It is not painful. The surface is smooth. It is rounded. It is not ulcerated and does not bleed. It looks kind of like a papillae but larger. I would guess it is 2.5 mm. I can see it when I look in a mirror and can feel it.
Any ideas what it might be?

my 5 year old son hit the right side of his head on concrete this afternoon at 1pm. it was so hard that i heard the hit. no bleeding, bumps, or bruises other than small red dots under surface. he is acting mostly himself. just went to sleep about an hour ago. should i be worried about internal bleeding because of the lack of bump?
