I have a friend whose foot was infected real bad.

I have a friend whose foot was infected real bad. I took him to the ER and they prescribed daily visits to Wound Care. After this regimen showed results, he stopped going. Now, 3 weeks later, the foot has swollen up, started to ooze pus and his middle toe is turning black. He is asking me about gangrene and I'm thinking necrosis of some sort, which the Web tells me is pretty much the first step in gangrene. What do you think is going on? What do you think this is? Obv he needs to go back to hospital. We just wanted some initial idea of what it could be; I understand your diagnostic opinion would be based on only what I've told you and it could be something else. A general idea is what we're looking for.

Hi. I got a tattoo a couple of months ago and it became infected. I went to urgent care where they prescribed some antibiotics. I finished the medication like I was supposed to, the redness has gone away. It looked like it was starting to heal but at night it itches real bad and burns like it is on fire. For the last few weeks it has been swelling so I have been trying to have it elevated as much as possible. Now my other foot is swelling more than the original one. Is this cause to be concerned about?

Hi I have a real heavy and large fungus on my foot in the skin and travelling in between my toes. The antifungal creams only work temporary, I am diabetic, I was told by a doctor to use lamasil cream and use antifungal powder, but my skin cracks real bad and it swells up and its painful to walk on. Do you have any suggestions as what I can use?
