How To Treat A Red Spot, Swelling In Eye And Blocked Tear Ducts?
hello my daughter was born with a red sort of spot and slight swelling in her right eye and since birth she had conjuntivitis 3 times (20 months old) A hospital doc has seen her and it looks like her tear channels are blocked. No medicines are helping though with her situation and her eye is always itchy , what do you think? shall i take her back to see another optalmologist?
Con gin-ital non formation of canal is possible. in that case main symptoms will be epiphora. conjunctivitis and red spot are not connected to it. your daughter might have allergic conjunctivitis. you can apply cromal eye drop twice daily. avoid any somatic or keep observation for allergen. the cause can be inner food and drinks. the red spot may be hemamgioma. get her examined by another ophthalmologist. and get her reviewed.
I reviewed your history. It seems like your daughter is having blocked tear ducts. This requires treatment by the use of antibiotic eye drops initially. Non responsive cases need intervention in the form of probing. Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
