Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful hard lump inside bottom lip is mainly because of frictional keratosis and perioral dermatitis of oral mucosa due to continous irritation from smoke fumes. I would suggest you not to panic about it. Stop smoke immediately to prevent exaggeration of symptoms as it could convert to a malignant oral lesion as well. Maintain oral hygiene by brushing and flossing daily. Do listerine mouth wash rinses. Your symptoms will redolve in 10-14 days. Drink plenty of water and have diet rich in multivitamins. Avoid hot, sharp , spicy food. Take ibuorofen if it is tender to touch. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit oral physician once and get it biopsied and examined.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
