How To Rectify The Cylindrical Power Of -2.5 In Both Eyes?

Dear Sir, I am Sumanta. Yesterday my 5yr old daughter has diagnosed that she is having -2.5 cylindrical power in both eyes. But she don't have any short sightness or far sightness. Does she need to wear spectacle for this? If not, what is the consequences? Is it possible to defer couple of years to wear spectacle?
What is the meaning of cylindrical power when there is no spherical power?
