How To Deal With Stubbornness?

I m having trouble dealing with my sister....she is a severe diabetic age 73 and a widow of one year... I am younger by a few years..we are the last siblings left. Since her husband passed I have been trying to help her remember her meds, do her bills, balance her checkbook etc...This week not for the first time she has told me to butt out and not interfere with her life. If she doesn t want to take her meds, she won t, she thinks i am trying to run her life. I bend over backwards not to give that impression but whenever I stop she ends in crisis and in the hospital...I feel quilty because i have children, grandchildren and a loving husband and she doesn t....but she won t and never has let me be very close.

hi.
you can plan an intervention for her and see to it that she talks to you. she obvously wants to run her life on her own terms and conditions because she is old and thinks she doesnt require help but tell her that it is okay to lean on someone else for help and support from time to time.
else, take her out frequently and make her feel at ease.
