How To Confirm DVT?

Hi I started having prominent veins and varicose veins when i become pregnant with my first daughter over 6 years ago. Now I am overweight and recently started zumba and massage. Tonight while I was out I jumped up from sitting down as got scared by a dog and instantly felt pain on my right leg where i had one of the prominent veins. A portion of about 2 cm diameter got swollen and start hurting badly and stops me from walking properly...Now that the swollen reduced although not gone i can see that it looks like the vein actually broke...Is this a sign of DVT? What do I need to do next? Should i go to ER? I am very scared and anxious :( HELP!

Hi
I have gone through your complaints.dont worry it might be superficial thrombophlebitis.i dont think its deep vein throbosis.to confirm or assess the presence or absence of deep vein throbosis is doppler study evaluation of lower limb veins.its simple and non invasive test.choose a sonologist & plan accordingly.
Thank you
