How Does Vaginal Mycosis Get Transmitted?

My girlfriend saw her doctor today who diagnosed her with a vaginal mycosis, she said her doctor thinks that her getting it is related to our sexual intercourse. She had the symptoms, but I still don't any symptoms of the illness. Is it possible that I did not get infected by her? Could she have gotten it any other way then sexual? Because she said that she only has sex with me. She thinks I may have given it to her and vice versa. please tell me how penis/vaginal mycosis are infected/ transmitted before I start accusing my girlfriend of chit

Thank you for the query.Fungal/mycotic infections can come due to moisture/dampness in the area,diabetics are prone etc.These can get transmitted from 1 to another as a STD also.some may not have symptoms especially males.So it is better to use condoms during intercourse.both partners need to get treated simultaneously otherwise it recurrs.both use dry,clean,pressed innerwear and keep area dry.
