How Can Urinary Incontinence Be Treated?

I am a female and 71 years old. I have had 2 hip replacements in the past 5 years and am doing PT for the past year. Intermittently, when I first awake, I cannot control my urine and it dribbles out as I rush to bathroom. This does occur generally with a full bladder. This occurs much less often now which may be the result of the PT and gaining much more strength. I ve also had urine tests done off and on over the last several months and no indication of an infection. Even though the control has improved, I seem to have a noticeable discharge from my urinary tract (yellow to light brown) that I can see on my underwear. It also has a strong oder. Is that problematic or of concern?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I suggest that you see a doctor and get a urinalysis and a pelvic exam done to make sure there is no infection causing the problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
