How Can Severe Bladder Infection Be Treated?

I am 43years old and have kind of been self dx myself. I operate a facility so I usually get my inhouse dr to write me scripts. I have been also to urgents etc all for prim uti / kidney infections. over the past 2 weeks I have self medicated using some of my left over meds. had been taking off and on trimethoprim 100mg at nights however have not been using that reg like I should. that usually helps. I have taken that for the last three nights - no help. so.... I have cipro 500 - I have taken 2 of them no help- believe or not now that I have bcbs I have a dr apt in the office on Friday. I cant wait till Friday though. the pain is both sides kidneys lower back and just yesterday and now all of today and right now lower stomach - which is my bladder. just reall heavy feeling- having to pee.. no burning just very very heavy feeling. if my insurance would pay to go to the er I would. an di haven t been to the hosp in years . also took a home uti and positive with the darkest color. so I am thinking I now have a bladder infection. can hardly sit still.
