Hi,

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. She has history of thyroidectomy. Now she has recurrent urinary tract infection. She should go for culture and sensitivity testing. It will give exact idea regarding effective antibiotics. Then choose antibiotics accordingly.

Also check for blood sugar level and ultrasound kidney, ureter and bladder once. Because diabetes or obstruction in urinary tract may leads to recurrent urinary tract infection.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.

Wish you a very good health.

Regards,
Dr. Hardik Sanghvi
