How Can Periventricular Leukomalacia Be Managed?

I had a MRI recently due to headaches and neck pain and stiffness. The only finding was minimal leukomylacia. I am 68 and concerned about strokes or dementia issues. My primary Dr seems to indicate that this is not unusual. Should I see neurologist for followup?

Hello
Welcome to Ask a Doctor service
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If significant findings are there in MRI like infarction, lesion then it is nothing to worry and your symptom could due to migraine, you can see the neurophysician but it may not helps you if this is the migraine.
Hope I have answered your query, let me know if I can assist you any further.
