How Can Numbness Be Managed When Diagnosed With MRSA In The Left Ear?

I I was diagnosed with MRSA in my left ear. I have been treated with two round of doxycycline. It is better but not gone yet. Yesterday my teeth started feeling odd. When I tap them they feel numb or hollow. Today my head above my eyes and in the back of my head in the upper region on both sides feels the same way. Could the MRSA be causing this?

Hello,

You are suggested to protect your ear while bathing / showering. You are advised not to enter into swimming pools or ponds as the infection can be triggered or you may develop complications. MRSA infection initially started in your ear. Ideally if the infection got cured it should not affect your teeth's. It can be dental infection or cavity that is causing symptom.

You are suggested to get clinically examined by a dentist and get treated. However, possibility cannot be ruled out of MRSA infection spreading. If it is so, it needs urgent medical care and treatment. Neglect can cause infection to get into the blood stream & that can become life threatening.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
