Hello,

If you lose the weight, increase your exercise and your cholesterol returns to normal you may be able to stop the medications.

The best diet consists of lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains. If you eat meat, it should probably be no more than once a day. It may help, if you eat fish a few times a week and avoid all fried foods.

Cutting back on carbohydrates will also help and will help with weight loss. If you are not exercising at all then start slowly, walking 5 to 10 minutes a day and build up slowly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kathy Robinson
