Hello, so i have been with my partner for about a year now and we both have gotten tested for chlamydia this passed week in which his came out positive and mine came out negative. Before dating he had one sexual partner and then we started dating, could he have had it all this time and not have given it to me even though we have had intercourse without protection dozens of times?

Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. Siddartha's Response
Hello,
Chlamydia infection is transmitted by sexual route. If your immunity is good, then you may not get from your partner.
Treatment for it is antibiotics like Doxycyclin or Azithromycin drug. For exact dosage and duration, please consult gynecologist or general physician.
During the course of treatment; other partner is advised to abstain from sex.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Siddartha
