How Can Chest Congestion Be Treated While Suffering From Alzheimer S Disease?

Hi, how can i help my mom with her phlegm? Since she is already 82 years old and has an alzheimer . She can no longer spit out her phlegm. Im afraid it would cause pneumonia. Can you give us a cure fir this. She is also bedridden and can no longer walk. Were having hard time to go to the doctor for her check up. Hope you can give us some advise for her . Thank you

Bedridden patients are more prone to develop aspiration pneumonia. Feed them in sitting position only, elevate head end of the bed , avoid spicy food. Please get one chest X-ray for pneumonia. If yes, need to take antibiotics under your physician guidance.
