Is It Safe To Get Stitches For A Deep Cut Near The Eyebrow One Day After Injury?

Hi, My friend was punched in the face over 24 hours ago (more like 30 hrs ago). The cut is on the eyebrow and he has not had it seen by a professional. I have only just seen it and it has scabbed over, probably scabbed over 24 hours ago. The cut looks quite deep and the area is swollen but otherwise looks clean. Would it still be possible to get stitches or glue if needed?

Hello,

Your friend's cut is deep and swollen. So according to my opinion stitches should be taken to avoid wound gap formation. It's also advisable to stitch off the wound for early healing. After suturing of the wound, you can apply topical neomycin cream over his sutured area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
