Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,

With the recent spike in cases of meningitis (especially among young college aged individuals) I would recommend that you be immediately seen by a neurologist or infectious disease specialist.

You may require testing to include that of a spinal tap to rule out the presence of a VIRAL MENINGITIS.

This is less likely bacterial meningitis due to the time course. Nevertheless, any type of meningitis should be identified and if necessary quarantined from the public.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dariush Saghafi, Neurologist
